• Farm tours and field trips include a 30 minute hayride around our 73 acre farm, along with a farm guide presentation including interesting facts and tidbits about the farm (adjusted for the age of the guests/students). We also allow time for guests to enjoy the peaceful fresh country air and the natural beauty of  the farm setting.

  • We provide free and ample parking, indoor or outdoor picnic areas (food and/or drinks can be brought with you or purchased in our farm store) and indoor restroom facilities with handicap access.

    Pricing: $8 per Child, $6 per Adult (Teachers receive complimentary admittance - One adult chaperone is required per 5 children.)

    Deposit: Non-refundable $25 deposit is due two weeks prior to the event. In the event of cancellation due to weather, we will reschedule.

    Agreement: A written agreement will be faxed or mailed for signatures and date. Please sign and return with the deposit. The balance is due in full on date of event.

    Christmas Trees - The only Christmas tree tour in Indiana! Learn about different types of conifer trees and experience the life cyce of a tree, from seedling to the first presents on Christmas morning.     Pop! ...goes the Corn Cob - From popcorn to sweet corn to Indian corn to corn dogs...the world would be in shock if corn were to disappear tomorrow. Come learn about this necessary and versatitle crop. Shuck your own popcorn and take it home to pop for the family.

    Heigh Ho...Heigh Ho...It's Off To Work We Go - This tour begins with an interactive lesson on several different types of gems, stones and fossils that can be found in your own backyard! Each guest is given a bag of authentic mining rough and will pan in our one of a kind mining sluice. All treasures discovered are yours to keep!

    Furs, Pets & Tracks - Ever wonder who made those delicate little footprints your backyard? Could it be a deer, a red-tailed fox or the neighborhood cat?! Come and learn about different animal tracks that are common to this area and how to identify them, as well as some of their furs and pelts. (No animals harmed.)

    It's the Great Pumpkin! - Join us during our fall season and experience our pumpkin patch with a gourd and pumpkin lesson. Each guest will receive a choice of a pie pumpkin or gourd to take home. An interactive play zone is included for guests to run and enjoy the country air. A hayride around the property is included to round out the Piney Acres experience.

    Chicken or the Egg? - Interact with Piney Acres' feathered friends! Chickens, ducks, guineas and turkeys. On this "quaky" tour, guests gather eggs, learn about life cycles, feeding and lifestyle habits. We guarentee the secret answer to the age old question of..."Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"
